I dreamed that I went to the airport with my Mom. When we got there, I was trying to figure out how to get in the building to check in. Mom said is the way in over here? I said maybe. Then I said, no I remember, it's over here. This was the fastest way in, with avoiding having to climb the stairs. We got inside on the ground level where the elevators were. There was 2 separate elevators. We almost missed one, but then it opened up. I grabbed my luggage. It was a pink suitcase. I realized Mom didn't have any luggage. And then I remembered she was going with me this time. She always did before, but this time, she was just taking me to the airport. We got into the elevator. She said are you sure you want to go up the elevator? I was like, oh yes. I've wanted to do this for so long. We pressed the button and up the elevator went. Then this elevator became the tallest elevator in the whole world. And it was encased in glass, with the tall building being glass as well. We started up, going higher and higher. Then it started getting warmer, I realized from the sun shining in on the glass warming it up in there. Suddenly, I was terribly afraid. My hands grasped the walls of the elevator and I lowered myself to the ground. What was I thinking? I wanted to turn back, but it was an elevator, so there was no turning back. We'd have to go all the way, then press the button to go back down. I wasn't sure I'd make it. The idea of going that high terrified me. Then I woke up, and I was actually a bit warm, or at least I think I was.
Dreams involving airports often symbolize transitions, journeys, or a change in direction in life. Your dream specifically evokes themes of exploration, comfort, and fear of the unknown.
Airport Setting: The airport represents a threshold between different stages of life or experiences. You and your mom's presence suggests support in your journey.
Luggage: The pink suitcase might indicate personal interests or aspects of yourself that you are ready to explore or showcase. Your mom not having any luggage could symbolize her supportive role in your journey, perhaps suggesting that she is letting you take the lead or that she has prepared you to face your own challenges.
Elevator Journey: Elevators often symbolize the ups and downs in life. The fact that it became the tallest elevator can indicate a significant opportunity or challenge that feels overwhelming. Your eagerness to go up the elevator reflects your readiness to embrace new experiences, but the sudden fear highlights anxiety about change or what lies ahead.
Fear and Warmth: The warmth from the sunlight suggests growth and positivity, yet your fear of the height indicates hesitation about venturing into new territory. This duality may reflect your excitement mixed with apprehension about a decision or upcoming change in reality.
Lowering Yourself: Your instinct to crouch down in the elevator, wanting to return, speaks to a moment of vulnerability. It shows a desire to retreat or play it safe in the face of overwhelming opportunities or fears.
In summary, your dream may be pointing towards an important transitional moment in your life, where you are grappling with the excitement of moving forward and the fear of the unknown. It encourages you to acknowledge those fears but also to recognize the possibilities that come with change. Perhaps consider what areas in your life you are ready to explore and how you can approach them with support while managing any anxieties.
